Paul Pelosi charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run in Napa County
Paul Pelosi, 86, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was charged in Napa County, California, with a misdemeanor hit-and-run after his Maserati convertible struck a parked Tesla on July 3 and drove away. Deputies later located the disabled Maserati and identified Pelosi, who said he intended to return to the scene. He also faces an infraction for making an unsafe turn. No alcohol was detected in his system, and the charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in county jail, a $1,000 fine, or both.
The incident is the second vehicle‑related criminal case involving Paul Pelosi in four years; he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI in 2022. When asked about the charge, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to comment, walking past reporters without responding.
