Paul Pierce ordered to pay $8,508 monthly in child support

A California court has ordered retired NBA star Paul Pierce to pay $8,508 per month in temporary child support for his infant son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce. The ruling follows a paternity case filed by Princess Santiago in January.

The ordered amount is significantly lower than the $29,811 per month Santiago originally requested. Pierce argued that his income has decreased since his professional basketball career ended in 2017, noting that his earnings from Fox Sports were also scheduled to end. He cited existing financial obligations, including support for four other children, and proposed a monthly obligation of approximately $4,145.

In addition to the monthly support, Pierce has been ordered to pay $100,000 toward Santiago’s legal fees and $10,000 for a forensic accountant. The child support order is temporary and remains subject to adjustment as legal proceedings continue.
