Paul Seixas becomes youngest Tour de France rider since 1937

French 19‑year‑old Paul Seixas made his debut in the 2026 Tour de France with the Decathlon CMA CGM team. In the opening team time trial in Barcelona, his squad finished sixth, and Seixas currently sits tenth in the general classification, 39 seconds behind leader Jonas Vingegaard and 27 seconds behind four‑time champion Tadej Pogačar.

The young rider, who recovered from a hand injury three weeks earlier, said the team had "limited the damage" and expressed confidence ahead of the first road stage. His performance also set a record: at 19 years and 283 days he is the youngest participant in the Tour since 1937.

Earlier this season Seixas won the Basque Tour, the Walloon Arrow and placed second in Liège‑Bastogne‑Liège, reinforcing his status as a rising talent.
