Paul Seixas offered €13 million contract as injury clouds Tour debut

Swiss‑registered ProTeam Pinarello‑Q36.5 has reportedly tabled a one‑year contract worth €13 million for 19‑year‑old French rider Paul Seixas, a deal that would be the most lucrative in professional cycling. The offer comes as Seixas, who is under contract with Decathlon CMA CGM through 2027, attracts interest from several WorldTeams and even the French government, which wishes him to stay with his current squad.

Seixas has already posted impressive results this season, including victories at the Tour of the Algarve, the Faun‑Ardèche Classic, the Tour of the Basque Country, and the Walloon Arrow, as well as a runner‑up finish in Liège‑Bastogne‑Liège after a duel with Tadej Pogačar. However, a crash in the Tour Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes left his elbow wrapped and forced him to withdraw, delaying his preparation for the upcoming Tour de France. The young rider is now seen training on Alpine climbs while his team has yet to announce his Tour selection.
