Paul Seixas trains intensively in Sierra Nevada ahead of the 2026 Tour de France

French cyclist Paul Seixas, a 19‑year‑old prodigy for Decathlon CMA CGM, is undertaking a three‑week altitude training camp in the Sierra Nevada, Spain. Since May 10 he has logged 1,335 km and 33,369 m of climbing, including a 231 km ride with 5,092 m of ascent, averaging nearly 100 km per day. The camp also serves to build cohesion with teammates such as Nicolas Prodhomme, Aurélien Paret‑Peintre and Dutch sprinter Olav Kooij.

During the training Seixas was photographed on a new Van Rysel prototype bike that does not match any current model in the brand’s catalogue, blending features of the RCR Pro and the newer RCR‑F aero frame. The bike’s appearance has sparked speculation about an upcoming addition to Van Rysel’s road‑bike line.
