Paul Wesley Opens Up on Early Tension with Nina Dobrev and Their New Project

In a recent appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, actor Paul Wesley addressed the rocky start of his working relationship with former co‑star Nina Dobrev on The CW’s teen drama "The Vampire Diaries".

Wesley said his intense, “grumpy” attitude contributed to a strained atmosphere on set, but he now acknowledges that the two are close friends, stating, “Now we’re such good friends and I absolutely adore her.” He took responsibility for his early behavior, describing himself as “a moody, grumpy person” during the series’ first years.

The interview also touched on Wesley’s efforts to break away from his Stefan Salvatore image, his recent marriage to model Natalie Kuckenberg, and his recollection of a “Jersey Shore”‑style lifestyle in his twenties.

He confirmed that he and Dobrev will reunite for the upcoming Hulu adaptation of Aggie Blum Thompson’s novel "You Deserve to Know," though no release date has been announced.
