Paula Badosa named Laureus Ambassador
Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa has been named a Laureus Ambassador. The announcement follows her return to competition in 2026 after an injury-impacted 2025 season, which included a victory over Coco Gauff at the Berlin Open.
Badosa expressed her honor in joining the movement, stating that her message to youth in Laureus programs is to ‘never give up.’ Tennis legend Martina Navratilova, a Laureus Academy Member, welcomed Badosa, noting that her drive and ambition to make a positive difference through sport align with the organization's values.
Badosa joins a significant group of Spanish Laureus Academy Members and Ambassadors, including athletes such as Raul, Carles Puyol, Marc Marquez, and Alex Corretja.
