Paula Blasi targets medals at UCI Road World Championships

Spanish cyclist Paula Blasi is preparing to compete in the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal, Canada, scheduled from September 20 to 27. Blasi, currently ranked second in the UCI standings, aims to secure a medal in both the individual time trial on September 20 and the road race on September 26.

Blasi will be part of a strong Spanish selection that includes Mavi Garcia, Usoa Ostolaza, Sara Martín, and Sandra Alonso. She will compete alongside fellow Catalan cyclist Mireia Benito, both of whom are selected for the individual time trial. The road race course is expected to be challenging, featuring approximately 180 kilometers and 2,570 meters of elevation gain, including ascents at Mont-Royal.

In addition to her competitive goals, Blasi has indicated that she has decided on her professional future for the upcoming season, though she has not yet officially named her next team. She currently rides for UAE Team Emirates.
