Paula Echevarría stars in new Atresmedia drama ‘A la deriva’

Actress Paula Echevarría returns to Atresmedia fiction with the new drama series ‘A la deriva’, premiering on Atresplayer. The production, a collaboration between Boomerang TV and Buendía Estudios Canarias, is set in 1970 in the fishing village of Bastuel.

The plot follows the unexpected return of several sailors presumed dead after a shipwreck two years prior. This event disrupts the lives of the families left behind, particularly the women who faced legal difficulties in being recognized as widows. The story centers on Lucía, played by Echevarría, who has taken control of her family business and found new love with a man named Tristán, only to have her life complicated by the return of her husband, Héctor.

Echevarría stars alongside Daniel Grao and Michel Noher in a narrative that explores themes of romance, mystery, and the social realities faced by women during the Franco era in Spain.
