Paula Klien and Gloria Steinem featured in new retrospective works

Photographer and visual artist Paula Klien has released “Paula Klien Retrospectiva,” a book revisiting her career spanning fashion, portraiture, and visual arts. The launch event was held at her studio overlooking Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. Her extensive archive includes over 3,000 portfolios featuring fashion editorials, campaigns, and portraits of notable figures such as architect Oscar Niemeyer.

In separate news, the new book “An Unexpected Life” serves as a reflection on the life of American journalist and feminist icon Gloria Steinem. Published shortly after her death at age 92, the work follows her previous book, “My Life on the Road.” The collection of essays covers her career milestones, including the founding of Ms. magazine, and her influence on the feminist movement.
