Paulilatino prepares for 25th Palio de Sos Chinaos horse race on Aug. 29

The town of Paulilatino is gearing up for the 25th edition of the Palio de Sos Chinaos, marking the event’s 25‑year anniversary. The traditional horse race, featuring eight riders representing the historic districts, will take place on 29 August at the municipal racetrack.

Mayor Domenico Gallus praised the community’s involvement, calling the Palio a collective story of memory and local pride. The event is organized by the Circolo Ippico Paulese, whose president Claudio Bruno highlighted the accompanying cultural programme, including video screenings of past editions.

A month‑long schedule of activities precedes the race: parades, music, the “Chinaos senza frontiere” games, a “Masterchef de Sos Chinaos” contest, and football and Argentine truco tournaments. Organisers thanked volunteer Antonello Deiola for his support.
