Pauline Hanson offers to form government with Liberals

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has signaled a willingness to set aside past grievances with the Liberal Party to form a government following the next election. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Brisbane, Hanson addressed her history with the Coalition, noting that while the Liberal Party previously caused her significant personal hardship, she is prepared to prioritize the country’s future.

Despite this offer of cooperation, Hanson stated she would not allow Liberal or National MPs to serve in her ministry. During her address, she criticized Opposition Leader Angus Taylor, describing him as a “smarmy management consultant” unfit to succeed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Hanson’s platform included promises to address housing affordability, establish a nuclear energy industry, and launch a royal commission into net zero policies to challenge Energy Minister Chris Bowen. The conference also featured appearances by Taylor and Nationals leader Matt Canavan, though reports noted Hanson received the most significant reception from the audience.
