Paulinho sidelined for one month with new injury

Palmeiras forward Paulinho has suffered a new injury to the long adductor muscle tendon in his right leg during training. This marks the fifth such occurrence since the player joined the club.

The injury is expected to sideline the attacker for approximately one month, causing him to miss the upcoming match against Mirassol. Palmeiras officials stated that the injury is not directly related to a previous right leg surgery performed last year.

Medical coordinator Pedro Pontin noted that such issues can occur when athletes return to high-intensity training after long periods of absence. Football director Alexandre Barros expressed confidence in the player's recovery, stating that the board believes Paulinho will remain an important part of the team for the current and future seasons.
