Paulo André Barata tribute performance scheduled in Belém

A tribute performance titled ‘Paulo André Barata 80 Anos’ will be held at the Teatro Margarida Schivasappa in Belém on September 25. The event celebrates the life and career of the late Pará-born singer, composer, and arranger, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 77.

The show coincides with what would have been Barata's 80th birthday and marks three years since his death. The production features a large orchestra and 20 performers from various generations, performing works created by Barata alongside collaborators such as Ruy Barata, João Donato, and Paulo César Pinheiro. Notable songs to be included are ‘Foi Assim’, ‘Pauapixuna’, and ‘Indauê Tupã’.
