Paulo César Pereira Marques, father of Bruno Gagliasso, dies at 79

Paulo César Pereira Marques, father of Brazilian actor Bruno Gagliasso, has died at the age of 79 in Rio de Janeiro. He passed away in the intensive care unit of Hospital Samaritano Barra after being hospitalized for approximately 20 days.

During his hospitalization, Marques suffered a stroke and underwent two cardiac surgeries. His death follows a period of medical care where he faced significant health complications.

Following the news, Gagliasso’s sister, Paula Assumpção, shared a tribute on social media, expressing the difficulty of the loss and noting her father's love for nature. Bruno Gagliasso also publicly acknowledged the passing, reflecting on the close relationship and support he received from his father throughout his life. A wake was held in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
