Paulo Dybala signs new contract with AS Roma until 2027

Argentine forward Paulo Dybala has confirmed his stay at Serie A club AS Roma until 30 June 2027. The contract, officially announced by the club, reduces his salary to around €3 million per season with performance‑related bonuses, and does not include an automatic‑renewal clause. The deal ends weeks of speculation about a possible move back to Boca Juniors, which the Argentine side had pursued but now must shelve for at least another season. Dybala, who joined Roma in 2022, will enter his fifth year in the capital, having logged 139 appearances and 45 goals, and will continue to feature in the club’s domestic campaign and its UEFA Champions League campaign. Roma’s statement highlighted his technical impact and leadership, describing him as a “pillar” for the team. Fans of both clubs expressed mixed reactions: Roma supporters celebrated the extension, while some Boca fans voiced disappointment, recalling comments such as “the story continues as we all wanted.” The renewal stabilises Roma’s attacking options and underscores the player’s commitment to remain in European elite football.
