Paulo Dybala extends contract with AS Roma until 2029
Paulo Dybata, the Argentine play‑maker, is set to remain at AS Roma after the club and the player reached an agreement on a new deal. Negotiations that began in the spring have concluded with a contract that runs to 2029 and includes an option for another season. The agreement reportedly keeps Dybala’s net salary around €3 million per year, with additional performance‑related bonuses, and incorporates a slight reduction in his fixed wage to facilitate the deal.
Dybala has repeatedly praised former Roma manager José Mourinho, calling him “a genius” and crediting him with his decision to join the club. Teammate Leandro Paredes confirmed that the renewal had been a realistic possibility for Dybala and wished him the best. While the club celebrates securing the Argentine star, its pursuit of English forward Mason Greenwood has stalled due to high transfer costs.
The renewed contract is viewed as a key component of Gian Piero Gasperini’s project, ensuring that Dybala can continue to contribute to Roma’s ambitions in Serie A and European competition.
