Boca Juniors’ transfer window: Dybala stays in Europe, Villa close to return, Zeballos eyed by Napoli

Paulo Dybala, whose contract with AS Roma ended on 30 June, announced he will not join Boca Juniors and is negotiating a new deal with the Italian club, despite being a free agent. His decision ends weeks of speculation that Boca might sign the Argentine forward.

Separately, Boca Juniors are nearing an agreement to bring back Colombian winger Sebastián Villa. After prolonged talks with Independiente Rivadavia and a brief withdrawal from negotiations, the clubs appear ready to finalize the transfer, which would mark Villa’s second spell at Boca.

Midfielder Exequiel Zeballos has expressed a desire to move abroad, with Napoli mentioned as a potential destination. However, the Italian side has not yet presented a formal offer, awaiting resolution of its own financial constraints and Boca’s valuation of the player, estimated between 8 million and 15 million USD.

In preseason training, midfielder Kevin Zenón missed a session due to a physical issue but remains in Boca’s plans. The club is monitoring interest from Vélez Sarsfield but has indicated that any departure would involve a significant transfer fee.
