Paulo Oliveira confirms participation in 2027 Dakar Rally

Mozambican rally driver Paulo Oliveira has announced his participation in the 2027 Dakar Rally, marking his fifth appearance in the endurance event. Accompanied by co-pilot Tiago Magalhães, Oliveira will compete in the SSV category using a new, more competitive vehicle.

During a presentation in Maputo, the team outlined its primary sporting objectives: completing all stages within regulatory time limits, securing a finisher's medal, and achieving a top 20 classification within the SSV class. Oliveira intends to leverage his previous experience across different categories to improve his performance.

Beyond the sporting competition, the initiative aims to promote Mozambique as a tourist destination and raise the country's international profile through the global platform provided by the rally.
