Pavel Dorofeyev joins New York Rangers on $77 million deal

Pavel Dorofeyev has joined the New York Rangers following a trade from the Vegas Golden Knights. The Russian winger signed a seven-year, $77 million contract with the team.

To prepare for the transition, Dorofeyev has spent the summer in Connecticut, utilizing a training routine he established at Prentiss Hockey in Stamford. This move allowed him to acclimatize to the region and train alongside several Rangers teammates, including J.T. Miller and Adam Fox, prior to the official training camp.

Dorofeyev arrives in New York after a strong postseason performance with the Golden Knights, where he scored 12 goals during their run to the Stanley Cup Final. Rangers coach Mike Sullivan noted the player's quiet confidence during early training sessions. The team acquired his rights in exchange for three draft picks, including two first-round selections.
