Pavel Greiner proposes mandatory refresher training for Czech drivers
Driving instructor Pavel Greiner has proposed that all drivers in the Czech Republic undergo refresher training at least once every five years to improve road safety. He noted that while there is a growing interest in refresher courses, particularly among the country's more than 1.5 million senior drivers, general driver awareness remains low.
Greiner criticized the lack of effective national information campaigns from the Ministry of Transport's BESIP department, suggesting that current safety efforts are largely limited to the regional level. He emphasized that such training should focus on continuous education rather than formal testing to help drivers stay informed about evolving road conditions and safety standards.
