Pavel Nedvěd discusses Czech national team recruitment

Czech national team manager Pavel Nedvěd has provided updates regarding the recruitment of players with Czech roots. Seventeen-year-old Barcelona talent Orian Goren has decided to represent Israel, opting for an immediate call-up to their senior national team despite interest from the Czech Republic.

Nedvěd noted that while the Czech team offered Goren a spot in the senior squad, Israel provided a similar opportunity that the player and his family valued. Goren, who resides in Spain, may also eventually hold Spanish citizenship.

The Czech federation is currently pursuing Paraguayan striker Allan Wlk, who plays for Lanús in Argentina. While Wlk has expressed interest, the process is currently stalled due to legal complexities regarding his great-grandfather's lineage. Additionally, Nedvěd confirmed that Patrik Schick has not been contacted for the upcoming November matches, though doors remain open for his future return.
