Pavel Sedláček to celebrate 85th birthday with special concert

Czech rock and roll pioneer Pavel Sedláček will celebrate his 85th birthday with a special concert at the Lucerna Music Bar on September 16. The event serves as both a celebration of his career and a tribute to the generation of musicians who introduced rock and roll and bigbeat to the Czech stage.

The concert will feature ten guest performers, including Petr Janda, Petr Vondráček, Jiří ‘Šlupka’ Svěrák, Karel Kahovec, and Viktor Sodoma, among others. The first half of the performance will consist of 19 songs shared between Sedláček and his guests, accompanied by the band Cadillac.

The second half will focus on Sedláček’s personal repertoire, featuring 12 to 13 songs supported by an expanded band with a brass section and a choir. The evening is expected to conclude with a collaborative song featuring all ten guests performing alongside Sedláček.
