Pavlos Marinakis discusses Greek economic policy and IMF measures

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis has addressed several critical issues facing Greece, including economic policy, the management of public debt, and the impact of IMF measures. Marinakis stated that measures related to the IMF will be permanent in nature and will affect all citizens.

Regarding the economy, Marinakis identified imported inflation as the primary challenge for the middle class and low-income households. He emphasized that the government's priority is to combat inflation and ensure revenue through fighting tax evasion and job creation rather than through over-taxation.

On the subject of public debt, he explained that the early repayment of debt does not have an immediate impact on citizens' daily finances but serves as a vital condition to enhance economic credibility, attract investment, increase exports, and create new jobs.
