Pavlos Marinakis urges isolation of extreme voices amid Greek protests

Greek government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis has called for the isolation of extreme voices that seek to incite chaos and disorder, particularly in light of upcoming protests by students and teachers.

Comparing the current situation in Greece to recent unrest in France, Marinakis stated that Greece is not in the same position as France and does not expect to reach that level of instability. He emphasized that while the right to protest is constitutionally protected, there is a clear distinction between peaceful demonstration and illegal acts or chaos.

Addressing concerns regarding the education sector, Marinakis defended the government's initiatives while acknowledging that more work is needed. He noted that the administration inherited significant challenges, including dilapidated school infrastructure and issues with university security, and is working to improve student housing and other services within the country's economic capabilities.
