Pavol Šafranko returns to DAC

Pavol Šafranko, the 31-year-old striker and ten-time Slovak international, has returned to DAC after nine years. He has signed a contract valid until the end of the current season, which includes an option for an additional year.

Šafranko previously played for DAC during the spring of the 2016/17 season. Since then, his career has taken him to Aalborg in Denmark, Dundee United in Scotland, and Sepsi OSK in Romania, where he won the Romanian Cup and Super Cup. He also played for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa, contributing to a league title and cup win, and most recently served as captain for Sabah in Azerbaijan, where he helped the team secure a historic league title.

Reflecting on his return, Šafranko expressed happiness about playing for DAC again and seeing familiar faces, noting that while much has changed since his first stint, he arrives with high motivation.
