Pavol Regenda signs one-year deal with HV71

Slovakian forward Pavol Regenda has signed a one-year contract with the Swedish ice hockey club HV71. Regenda joins the team following a four-year stint in North America, where he played for the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks organizations. During his time with the Sharks, he appeared in 24 NHL games.

In addition to his North American experience, Regenda brings international pedigree, having represented Slovakia in four World Championships and two Olympic Games. HV71 general manager Johan Hult described Regenda as a ‘big and strong player’ and a ‘skilled goalscorer’ who will strengthen the team's offensive lines.

Regenda expressed enthusiasm for joining the club, noting his desire to contribute through hard work and reliability while experiencing the local hockey culture. HV71, a traditional club in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), is looking to improve its standing after finishing 13th in the previous season.
