Pawan Kalyan addresses Independence Day in Kakinada

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attended the 80th Independence Day celebrations at the Kakinada district police parade grounds. During his address, Kalyan urged the youth to take an active role in nation-building and to honor freedom fighters by contributing to a better society and India’s goal of global leadership.

Kalyan highlighted the resilience of ordinary citizens, such as fisherfolk and farmers, in the face of regional challenges like cyclones and sea erosion. He also noted the importance of coordination between the State and Central governments, mentioning that Andhra Pradesh recently received Rs 4,597 crore in advance tax-share funds to support development goals.

In a separate moment during the proceedings, the Deputy Chief Minister shared a candid interaction with a member of the police dog squad, which drew public attention. Kalyan also used the platform to advise Jana Sena leaders and party workers to maintain discipline, avoid offensive language on social media, and respect women in public discourse.
