Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh fined in divorce and alimony case

A family court in Ballia has imposed fines on both Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh and his wife, Jyoti Singh, during ongoing proceedings regarding their divorce and alimony dispute.

Pawan Singh was fined 1,000 rupees for failing to appear at the hearing on Monday. His legal counsel stated the absence was due to his mother, Pratima Devi, suffering a sudden heart attack and requiring surgery in Lucknow. Jyoti Singh was also fined 500 rupees for delays in presenting evidence.

During the hearing, Jyoti Singh alleged that Pawan Singh is using his influence and position to avoid court appearances despite repeated summons. She noted that communication between the two has broken down to the point where she does not even possess his personal mobile number. The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 17.
