Payaza Teams with Lebara Nigeria to Expand Digital Payments

Payaza Africa Limited and Lebara Nigeria have signed a partnership agreement in Lagos, naming Payaza the exclusive payment and technology provider for Lebara’s new digital commerce platform. The deal will integrate Payaza’s payment infrastructure into Lebara’s mobile applications and USSD channels, allowing customers to buy airtime, top‑up data, manage subscriptions and access other digital products through secure payment tools.

The collaboration also targets Nigerians living abroad, enabling cross‑border payments for relatives in Nigeria. Executives highlighted the partnership’s role in advancing financial inclusion, with Payaza’s Executive Advisor for Innovation and Research Fawaz Abaniwonda calling it a demonstration of “customer obsession,” and Lebara Nigeria CEO Teniola Stuffman describing it as a step toward broader digital participation and a “gateway for digital commerce and financial empowerment.”
