Paydari Front calls for Iran to withdraw from NPT

The Paydari Front has issued a statement calling on the Iranian Parliament and the Supreme National Security Council to withdraw the country from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

The group argues that recent experiences and conflicts have proven that international structures based on the NPT are ineffective and result in structural discrimination against Iran. The statement criticizes the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), claiming it has failed to protect Iran's peaceful nuclear activities and has instead acted as a “catalyst for attacks against Iran.”

Furthermore, the Paydari Front asserts that the NPT lacks legal balance between nuclear-weapon states and non-nuclear-weapon states. Citing Article 10 of the treaty, the group suggests that ongoing threats and the failure of international guarantees necessitate a strategic re-evaluation of Iran's membership and its cooperation with the IAEA to protect national security and interests.
