Payroll Giovanni releases new independent EP ‘M. O. B.’

Detroit rapper Payroll Giovanni has released his new EP, titled ‘M. O. B. (Minding My Own Business)’. The project marks a significant transition for the artist, who is now operating as an independent musician following his departure from EMPIRE.

The EP is a concise release featuring four tracks, led by the single ‘Puppies’, which was accompanied by an official music video earlier this month. The project emphasizes Giovanni’s shift toward greater creative and professional control over his music and releases.

In addition to the new EP, Giovanni’s recent work includes the full-length album ‘If Not Me Then Who’, released last September during his tenure with EMPIRE. As a member of the Doughboyz Cashout collective, Giovanni continues to build on his presence within the Detroit hip-hop scene through self-produced material and independent releases.
