Paysandu defeats Ituano 1-0 in Série C victory

Paysandu secured a 1-0 away victory against Ituano in the 18th round of the Brazilian Série C championship. The decisive goal was scored by striker Ítalo in the 44th minute of the second half.

Approximately 44% of the 1,245 spectators at the Novelli Júnior Stadium were Paysandu supporters, with 550 traveling fans in attendance. Following the win, players and coaching staff celebrated with the supporters in the visiting section. The result places Paysandu close to mathematically securing a spot in the access quadrangular.

Striker Ítalo has become a key figure for the team this season, having scored 17 goals. Statistics show that Paysandu has not lost a match in which Ítalo has scored this year, recording 13 wins and two draws in such instances. Ítalo joined the club on loan from Volta Redonda, and Paysandu holds priority to purchase his rights for approximately R$ 1.5 million.
