Paysandu defender Luccão joins Portuguese club Trofense
Twenty‑three‑year‑old centre‑back Luccão has left Brazil's Paysandu after three seasons to sign with Trofense, a club competing in Portugal's third division. The contract runs until mid‑2027 (or the end of the 2028 season, according to club statements), and the transfer fee was not disclosed.
Paysandu retained roughly 20 % of the player’s economic rights, ensuring a future financial share if the defender is sold again. The move follows Luccão’s earlier stint in Europe with Denmark’s Esbjerg and comes as Paysandu also seeks to replace other recent departures, including Yeferson Quintana.
The defender confirmed the transfer on social media, thanking teammates and supporters for his time with the Pará‑based club, where he made 24‑25 appearances and helped secure multiple regional titles.
