Paysandu dismisses coach Júnior Rocha after loss to Ferroviária

Ferroviária defeated Paysandu 1-0 at the Arena Fonte Luminosa, moving to the top of Group B in the Série C quadrangular stage. The winning goal was scored by Juninho in the 19th minute of the first half.

Following the defeat, Paysandu dismissed head coach Júnior Rocha and assistant coach Elton Macaé. The decision came after the club suffered its second consecutive loss in the decisive phase, leaving them at the bottom of the group with zero points. Despite the coaching change, the team remains in contention for promotion to Série B, with four matches remaining in the quadrangular.
