Paysandu moves decisive Série C matches to Mangueirão

Paysandu will move its decisive matches for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C quadrangular stage from Curuzu to the Mangueirão stadium. The decision, reportedly requested by the players, aims to provide better infrastructure and comfort for the squad, while also accommodating larger crowds for these critical games. The club will continue to use Curuzu for daily training sessions.

Coach Júnior Rocha enters this decisive phase seeking to improve his historical performance in the Série C quadrangular. Having participated in this stage four times previously with Ypiranga-RS, Figueirense, Ferroviária, and Caxias, Rocha holds a record of six wins, nine draws, and nine losses in 24 matches. While he achieved promotion with Ferroviária in 2024, his overall win rate in this specific phase stands at 25%.

Paysandu, which finished the first phase in seventh place, is positioned in Group B. The team faces six decisive matches against Brusque, Ferroviária, and Inter de Limeira to secure promotion to Série B.
