Paysandu secures purchase of striker Juninho through 2028

Paysandu has reached an agreement to acquire 60% of the economic rights and 100% of the federative rights of 22-year-old striker Juninho. The player, who joined the club on loan from Osasco Sporting, has signed a contract that extends his stay until December 2028.

Juninho demonstrated significant impact during his tenure, contributing to 14 goals in 25 matches, consisting of 10 goals and 4 assists. His performance included six goals in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C and three goals in the Copa Norte.

The acquisition comes as the club reorganizes its squad following elimination from Série C. Currently, Juninho is undergoing rehabilitation following surgery on his left knee to treat a medial meniscus injury performed in early October. He is expected to complete his recovery during the club's 2027 pre-season.
