Payton Collins signs one-year extension with Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced a one-year contract extension for American offensive lineman Payton Collins. Since joining the CFL club in May 2025, the 25-year-old has established himself as the starting left tackle.

Collins has started all 29 regular-season games played over the past two seasons, totaling 1,826 snaps. His performance contributed to quarterback Trevor Harris leading the league with 5,370 passing yards and helped backup Tommy Stevens set franchise and CFL records with 17 rushing touchdowns.

In 2025, Collins was named the Roughriders’ outstanding rookie and helped the team secure a Grey Cup championship. The 6-foot-7, 301-pound lineman previously played six collegiate seasons at Eastern Kentucky, where he set a program record with 56 consecutive starts.
