Camila Zuluaga leaves Blu Radio following abrupt program cancellation

Journalist and political analyst Camila Zuluaga has abruptly left Blu Radio, ending her tenure with the station after more than a decade. Her program, ‘Mañanas Blu 10:30’, which she co-hosted with Ana Cristina Restrepo, ceased broadcasting on August 31, 2026. The departure was noted for its suddenness, as the team was reportedly not given the opportunity to bid farewell to listeners on air.

There are conflicting reports regarding the reasons for the exit. One version suggests the decision was driven by Caracol Televisión's president, Gonzalo Córdoba, due to declining audiences and advertiser difficulties. However, other reports indicate that political pressure may have played a role, citing previous public friction between Zuluaga and Abelardo de la Espriella during his campaign.

Zuluaga’s work at the station was highly regarded in the field of political journalism, having earned two Simón Bolívar journalism awards. Her departure has drawn reactions from prominent Colombian journalists, who described the loss of the program as a blow to investigative and analytical radio in the country.
