PCC criminal faction linked to São Paulo bus transport sector
Investigations into the ‘Vectura Corrupta’ operation have uncovered deep links between the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) criminal faction and the public bus transport sector in São Paulo. Former city councilman Milton Leite was recently arrested under suspicion of acting as an operator for the PCC within the city's bus system. Following his arrest, Leite’s office was burglarized in an incident lasting less than 15 minutes, during which criminals seized hard drives and computers but left behind over 19,000 reais in cash.
Authorities have identified Antônio José Muller Júnior, known as ‘Granada,’ a high-ranking PCC member currently held in a federal penitentiary, as a key figure in infiltrating the transport sector. Investigators allege that Muller Júnior exerts influence over bus company partners through his wife, Carla de Paula Muller. The inquiry suggests that Muller Júnior has maintained connections to the industry since at least 2002, with allegations including extortion of drivers and the use of aliases to hold positions within transport cooperatives. Defense attorneys for the couple have denied the accusations, calling them unfounded.
