PCG Global Secures Tens of Millions in Pre-Series A Funding
Singapore‑based clean‑energy platform PCG Global announced the close of a pre‑Series A financing round that raised tens of millions of dollars. The round was led by GenZero, the decarbonisation investment platform wholly owned by Singapore’s state investor Temasek. PCG Global, founded by the team behind Chinese distributed‑energy operator PCG Power, will use the capital to accelerate project origination and execution of renewable‑energy infrastructure across Southeast Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, regions where demand for clean power is rising due to net‑zero commitments and energy‑security concerns. Chairman and CEO Li Wenxuan said the funding reflects “institutional confidence” in expanding the company’s proven capabilities beyond China.
GenZero’s investment underscores its strategy to expand a global decarbonisation portfolio. Kimberly Tan, Head of Investments at GenZero, highlighted PCG Global’s strong fundraising and development track record, noting the market need for resilient clean‑energy assets. The financing aims to bridge typical early‑stage gaps such as land acquisition, permitting and grid access, enabling PCG Global to build a pipeline of bankable renewable projects in multiple jurisdictions.
