PCL Construction awarded $768.6M science campus contract in Ottawa

PCL Construction Canada Inc. has been awarded a $768.6 million federal contract to begin construction on the Regulatory and Security Science Main (RSS Main) project in Ottawa, Ontario. This project is a key component of the Laboratories Canada initiative and will involve the development of a six-facility science campus.

The campus is designed to house approximately 275 employees and support 25 science programs. It will integrate researchers from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Canada Border Services Agency, Health Canada, and the Public Health Agency of Canada. The facility aims to enhance national capabilities in food-supply protection, border security, emergency preparedness, and public health resilience.
