PDC announces 2027 European Tour calendar with new locations
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has announced its European Tour calendar for 2027, which will feature fifteen tournaments across ten different countries. Key expansions include the introduction of the first-ever European Tour event in France, hosted in Liévin, and a new three-day televised tournament called the European Open in Salzburg, Austria, which carries a £750,000 prize pool.
Existing locations will see changes and expansions. Bratislava, Slovakia, will remain on the map for the Slovak Darts Open, while the tour moves to Gent, Belgium. The European Championship in Dortmund will expand to a six-day event with a doubled prize pool of £1 million and an increased field of 48 players. Additionally, the Players Championship Finals in Minehead will see its field size double to 128 players.
PDC Europe President Werner von Moltke noted that the tour has grown significantly in terms of level, attendance, and geography, marking the 2027 season as a major milestone for the organization.
