PDRM acquires tactical e-bikes for border security
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has begun deploying the Jebatt F29 All Terrain Tactical Assault E-Bike (ATEB) to strengthen the capabilities of the General Operations Force (PGA). The acquisition is being carried out in two phases with a total value exceeding RM10 million. The first phase involves 100 units valued at approximately RM2.388 million under the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12), while the second phase will include the remaining 275 units.
These high-performance electric motorcycles are designed for challenging terrains and offer silent operation, making them ideal for border patrols and special operations where stealth is required. The Jebatt F29 can reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h and features a 72V, 60Ah battery system.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail stated that the e-bikes will be distributed to border states, including Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Perak, Sabah, and Sarawak, to ensure more effective security control and mobility in difficult-to-access areas.
