Peace and Friendship Stadium spends 2 million euros amid pending concession

The management of the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) has spent over 2 million euros on various works and services through contracts with private companies over the last 12 months. These expenditures, which include electrical work, repairs, cleaning, and maintenance, are being drawn from the SEF budget, which receives significant state funding via the General Secretariat of Sports.

The spending occurs amidst a legal ambiguity regarding the stadium's ownership. Although the Hellenic Parliament voted on an amendment to concede the stadium to Olympiacos B.C. in July 2025, the formal concession contract has not yet been signed, meaning the facility remains public property.

Furthermore, Olympiacos B.C., a private entity, has been conducting renovation works within the stadium, though it remains unclear if the necessary permits for these activities have been obtained.
