Peace Week events organized in Oosterhout and Haarlem

Various Peace Week events are being organized across the Netherlands, featuring diverse programs for different age groups and communities.

In Oosterhout, the Peace Week includes a puppet show titled ‘Vreemde Vogels’ at Theater de Bussel, designed to teach children about friendship and celebrating differences through music. The program also features lectures on peace, freedom, and resilience, including a session by theologian Janneke Stegeman and a presentation by Hans van Griensven regarding the relationship between peace and military resilience.

In Haarlem, the fifth edition of ‘Vrouwen zingen voor Vrede’ (Women Sing for Peace) is being held at PHIL. Organized by Yvonne Moonen and Charo Durán, the event brings together women of various backgrounds to sing together in an inclusive environment. This edition involves collaborations with Stichting Harmonie Haarlem and Stichting Tulp en Jasmijn to broaden the network of participants.
