Peach City Radio announces vinyl donation drive for upcoming festival

The Peach City Community Radio Society is hosting a donation drive on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cannery Trade Centre parking lot in Penticton. The drive serves as a fundraiser for CFUZ and Peach City Radio in preparation for the 13th annual Okanagan Vinyl Festival, scheduled for Sept. 19 at the Okanagan College Penticton campus.

Organizers are seeking donations of vinyl records—specifically in the rock, pop, soul, and jazz genres—as well as working audio equipment such as turntables, amplifiers, cassette decks, and CD players. Volunteers will test all donated equipment before it is sold at the festival. Sales from these items constitute a significant portion of the funds raised to support the volunteer-run non-profit station.
