Peachland opens expanded pickleball courts at Lambly Park

The pickleball community in Peachland celebrated the grand opening of a court expansion at Lambly Park on September 4, 2026. The project, which has been in development since 2023, adds two new courts to the existing sports park.

The expansion was completed at a total cost of $215,000 by the District of Peachland. To address potential noise concerns, the pickleball community raised $20,000 to install sound-reducing measures, including clear plexiglass-like sheets attached to the perimeter fencing. Councillor and Pickleball President Randey Brophy noted that 80 sound measurements were conducted to ensure decibel levels remain within reasonable community standards.

Mayor Patrick Van Minsel led a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by approximately 100 community members to mark the occasion.
