Peacock greenlights ‘Fast & Furious’ television series

NBCUniversal has officially greenlit a live-action ‘Fast & Furious’ television series for the streaming platform Peacock. The project, which was first announced in May, is expected to debut in 2028 to coincide with the release of the film ‘Fast Forever’.

Vin Diesel will serve as an executive producer alongside Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Chris Morgan, and Jeff Kirschenbaum. The creative leadership for the series includes Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who will act as showrunners, write the pilot episode, and serve as executive producers.

While specific plot details remain undisclosed, the series aims to expand the franchise's universe by exploring the backstories of established characters and introducing new ones. This move follows fan demand for deeper character development. Diesel previously indicated that Peacock is preparing four different productions related to the ‘Fast & Furious’ brand.
