Peacock greenlights ‘Fast & Furious’ live-action TV series

Peacock has greenlit the first live-action scripted television series based on the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. The project, produced by Universal Television, is targeting a 2028 premiere.

Vin Diesel, the franchise's longtime star, will serve as an executive producer. He noted that the decision to expand into television was driven by fan demand to explore the stories of legacy characters. Diesel expressed confidence in the move following Donna Langley’s appointment to oversee NBCUniversal’s television operations.

Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman are set to serve as co-showrunners, pilot writers, and executive producers. The production team also includes Sam Vincent, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan. While details regarding the plot and specific cast members remain undisclosed, the series is expected to coincide with the release of the franchise's final film, ‘Fast Forever’, scheduled for March 2028.
